The most important part of building a house is the foundation. If the foundation is bad, the house will sink, or even collapse. This is the case in child rearing and pedagogy, and that is why English General Robert Stephenson Baden Powel invented the Scout movement in England in 1908. This children's and youth movement was and still is based on religious and moral principles. It strives to educate in discipline, character building, resourcefulness, selflessness, and religiosity. The first teams in our country were formed in 1910-1913, and the Reformed Church was at the forefront in their foundation. In this book, the author presents the 21st Gárdonyi Scout Troop in Óbuda, and provides a cross-section of the history of Hungarian scouting.
